Common Questions

Questions we hear most often

Answered honestly. If yours is not here call us on 01364 654271.

Do you offer emergency electrical callouts in Devon?

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency callout for electrical faults across Devon. Call 01364 654271. Because we are based in Newton Abbot, our response times for Devon properties are faster than national companies operating remotely.

What is an EICR and do I need one?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is a formal inspection of your property’s fixed wiring. It is a legal requirement for all residential landlords in England, renewed every five years. For commercial premises, it demonstrates compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

What certifications do I receive?

All notifiable electrical work is self-certified and notified to Building Control under Part P. You receive an Electrical Installation Certificate for new circuits and consumer unit work, or a Minor Works Certificate for smaller additions. EICRs produce the full inspection report and certificate.

Can you install an EV charger alongside other electrical work?

Yes, and it is often more cost-effective to combine them. If you are having a consumer unit upgrade, rewire, or solar installation, adding an EV charger circuit at the same time shares the mobilisation cost and avoids a separate visit.

Do you cover all of Devon?

Yes. We cover Newton Abbot, Exeter, Torbay, Plymouth, South Hams, Dartmoor, Ashburton, and the wider Devon area. We also cover Cornwall and Somerset for larger commercial projects.
