Who are we?
About M&E Contrax
M&E Contrax is a mechanical and electrical contractor based in Devon, delivering a broad range of services for homes, businesses, and industrial clients across the South West and beyond. Founded over 18 years ago by Kevin Moore and Paul Merriam, the business has grown from its roots in commercial M&E contracting into one of the region’s most established renewable energy installers, covering solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps, air conditioning, and EV charging alongside its full commercial services offer.
We hold NICEIC accreditation, meaning every project is completed to the strict standards set by the industry’s leading certification body, with all work certified on completion. For renewable energy installations, we are MCS-accredited, the certification required for customers to access the Smart Export Guarantee and government grant schemes, including the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
We are part of the Western Industrial Group, a family of Devon-based businesses with a long track record in the South West.
Our 24-hour, 7-days-a-week emergency support means we are always on hand when you need us. For most customers, that means peace of mind. For a few, it makes a real difference.

Who’s who?
Meet The Team
We are a small, experienced team. The people who answer your call, survey your property, and install your system are the same people you will deal with throughout the project, and the same people you can call afterwards if you have a question.

Kevin Moore
Kevin co-founded M&E Contrax over 18 years ago. He takes a hands-on approach to everything the business does, that means running the company, meeting customers, and being perfectly comfortable on-site when the job calls for it. Kevin is not a director who stays in the office.

Paul Merriam
Paul co-founded the business alongside Kevin 18 years ago and has project-managed some of the most complex projects Western Industrial Business Interiors has undertaken. He covers everything from producing the technical plans to managing projects and liaising with customers directly. Multi-tasking comes with the territory.

David Moore
David is responsible for the delivery of M&E installations. He takes care of the planning and organisation of his team, gets involved in specifying and drawing plans, and visits projects on-site throughout. He is as comfortable on-site as he is in the boardroom, which is exactly what you want from the person responsible for getting your project delivered.

Tamsin Pay-Savage
Tamsin is often the first point of contact for customers and manages a huge range of office tasks as personal assistant to both directors. Efficiency and competency are second nature to Tam. Being fun, she will tell you, is entirely by choice.

Justine Hadley
Justine is in charge of accounts and helps maintain order in the office. She is highly efficient, extremely approachable, and well-driven. If you have a question about an invoice or a charge, Justine will know the answer.

Andy Bradbury
Andy is in charge of admin for the M&E division, ensuring all clients, jobs, deliveries, and enquiries are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. He brings over 15 years of experience in quoting projects, managing maintenance contracts, and supporting the successful delivery of multi-discipline M&E projects. If a project is running, Andy knows where it is.

Cameron Nimmo
Cameron is responsible for marketing at M&E Contrax. He brings a dynamic approach to how the business presents itself, with a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in what makes good communication work. His background in digital marketing means our efforts are built on more than guesswork.

Lee Bullingham
Lee leads our solar PV installation team, responsible for bespoke solar panel and battery systems for homes and businesses. He is a very experienced individual in this sector and takes care of the design, planning, and organisation of his team from start to finish. He is as happy installing on roofs as he is in the office — and our customers tend to notice the difference that makes.
Our Accreditations
M&E Contrax holds NICEIC accreditation for electrical installation work, confirming that our team operates to the standards required by the UK’s leading electrical safety certification body.
M&E Contrax holds MCS accreditation for solar PV, battery storage, and heat pump installations. MCS certification is required for customers to access the Smart Export Guarantee and government grant schemes including the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Every renewable installation we complete is MCS-registered and fully documented at handover.
We are also registered with RECC, the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, which provides additional consumer protections for customers purchasing renewable energy systems.

Who do we work with?
Our Clients
We have worked with businesses of all sizes across Devon and the South West, from small local operations to national businesses with multiple sites. Long-standing relationships are something we are proud of, many of our commercial clients have been with us for years, and we take that as a more meaningful measure of our work than anything else.
