Solar panels, also called photovoltaic (PV) panels, turn daylight into electricity. The panels generate DC power, which an inverter converts into the AC electricity your home or business uses.
Whatever you don’t use straight away can be stored in a battery for later or exported to the grid, earning you money through the Smart Export Guarantee.

Solar panel FAQs
Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not direct sunshine, so they still produce electricity on cloudy days, just less than in full sun.
Good quality panels typically last 25 years or more, and most come with long performance warranties. Inverters usually need replacing sooner, and we’ll explain warranties for every component.
Most domestic roof-mounted systems are permitted development. Listed buildings, some conservation areas and larger commercial or ground-mounted systems may need consent. We check this at your survey.
A battery lets you use more of your own solar, typically raising self-consumption from around 35% to 70–80%. It can be fitted with your panels or added later.
Yes. We design and install commercial rooftop, ground-mounted and farm systems, and manage the DNO process for you.
